Character Sheet

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Much of this character sheet comes from a Justin created by [info]everybody_lies.

General

Name: Justin Jeremiah Finch-Fletchley
Nicknames (and who is likely to use them): -
Age: 25
Birthday: October 19, 1979
Place of Residence: Lives now with Millicent at 12C Montrose Lane. (He rented a house at 7 Montrose Close, Hogsmeade)

Appearance

Height: 6' 4"
Weight: 180
Eyes: blue. very blue.
Hair Colour & Style: Auburn. Not quite shaggy. Curls when it gets longer.
Skin tone: fair. a few freckles.
Build: Tall and skinny. Long and lanky features
Distinguishing Marks: Mole on his right temple. Scars on his leg and up his sides.
Dress Style: Justin shows his obvious muggle born background. He doesn't much care for wizarding fashion, in spite of being raised upper class- he basically wears whatever is clean. He's normally found in jeans and a t-shirt, with the occasional button-up if and when he feels like it, though he'll dress up at home. Really, he's more comfortable in Muggle clothing, although if the occasion arises, he does own a few sets of robes.
Things they would always carry with them (optional): his wand and his watch.

Health

Disabilities/Handicaps: None yet.
Health in general – both mental and physical: Overall okay - he's worn down with guilt and grief, but he's learned to live with it. He worries far too much, and is prone to bouts of depression when he feels helpless. Especially about his brother.

Personality

First Impression (others have of you): Helpful beyond measure. A true Hufflepuff
General Behaviour: Justin's fairly confident in himself, but he really doesn't talk a lot. When he does speak, it's usually something fairly interesting. When he was younger, he didn't interact much with others, and he often had trouble controlling his magic. So he was rather quiet and kept to himself. He's fiercely loyal and fiercely stubborn. But he doesn't have much of a temper (which is probably good). He's equally comfortable in a group and on his own.

Justin still keeps mostly to himself, though he does have his friends. Before he came to Hogsmeade he was often a loner - his parents never understood the whole magic thing and still think it’s something he’ll grow out of. They don’t realise that it's all a part of who he is. Justin is a pretty nice guy, though, if a bit awkward - when he makes friends, he makes them for life.
Strengths: loyalty, generosity, caring. If he gets it in his head to look after you, he'll care for you.
Weaknesses: can come across as gullible. People think his quietness equates to stupidity.
Habits: Chews on his lower lip. Tugs on a bit of his hair when nervous.
Enjoys: Apples. Eggs. Marshmallows. Black. Yellow. Quidditch. Good friends. Laughing. Blue. Cream cheese. Being with family.
Dislikes: Bad smells. Rude people. Those disrespectful to women. Death Eaters. Being late. Fights. Arguments. Tears.

Family

Spouse/partner (if applicable): he's in a relationship with Millicent Bulstrode.
Parents: Sean and Bridget Finch-Fletchley
Sibling(s): one younger brother, Braden (killed by Death Eaters (Lucius Malfoy) in June 2005)
Children: He's adopting Ella Bulstrode, and Millicent is pregnant with his child.
Bloodline: Muggleborn. But the Finches and the Fletchleys are high Muggle society. His name was down for Eton, and he would have been a few years above the princes William and Harry.
Family History: Justin was born to an upper-class family outside of London. The Finchs were old money, and the Fletchleys new money. His mother made damn sure their surname was hyphenated, as she was the last of the Finch line. He was never particularly close to his parents, but he did everything he could to make them proud. He was essentially raised by his nanny, Margaret (who he and his brother called Meg). But on his eleventh birthday, he received an owl from Hogwarts. It took some convincing before they let him go, but he was happy. His parents weren't entirely sure what to think about their son being a wizard - and mostly thought that it was a phase he'd pass through and he could go back to Eton as planned.
Pets: A jack russell terrier named 'Jack' when he was a child.

Social/Romantic/Sexual

Close Friendships: has been away from the wizarding world for a while, but will try to catch up with old classmates and former members of the DA. Was friends with Colin Creevey after their shared experiences with the Basilisk. Susan Bones, Wayne Hopkins and Ernie McMillan were all friends.
Known Enemies: snakes. Justin was very laid back and made very few, if any enemies.
Sexual Preference: straight
Turn Ons: Girls with lots of curves.
Turn Offs: Crass and boyish behaviour.
Past Relationships: Alison (muggle society girl)... Had a crush on Hannah at school that went unanswered. Doesn't know that he once slept with Millicent. Well, he does, but he didn't know who she was.
What they think about sex and love: Enjoys the first, and wouldn't mind a lot more of it. He thinks he's lost his only hope for love, so doesn't think it will come around again. But when he falls in love, it will be completely, and he will be loyal for life.

Magical

Wand Type: Hazel, 11", unicorn hair.
Magical talents: charms, working with timber and anything natural (might have a 'touch' of elemental earth magic about his abilities)
Magical weaknesses/aversions (what your character can't or won't do): sucks completely at Transfiguration and potions.
First sign of magic – when and what: refused to drink his milk from anything but one particular cup, and whenever his nanny gave him a different one, he would shake his head, and the cup would go flying across the room, or just disappear. The family went through much crockery for a while. The nanny hid this from his parents, which was why they were all the more surprised by the news he was a wizard.
Boggart: a basilisk
Knows how to Apparate (y/n): yes
Knows how to cast a patronus (y/n – if yes what?): an arctic fox
Knows how to use the unforgivables (y/n): no, but after his brother was killed by Death Eaters, he really would have no trouble aiming something harsh at Lucius Malfoy.

Schooling:

Year: same year as Harry
House: Hufflepuff
Other Affiliations:
Best subject(s): Charms and Herbology.
Poor subject(s): Transfiguration and Potions.
Electives s/he would have taken: Care of Magical Creatures.
Best Mates: Ernie MacMillan
Romantic interests: Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones?
Level of education reached (do your characters have OWLs/NEWTs – none of the above? Have they gone on to some type of training? Remember that there is no wizarding uni and that there is a war going on): Has NEWTs in Defense, Charms, Herbology, History of Magic, Astronomy, Transfiguration (barely scraped in with that one). Failed his potions NEWT

Financial

(Remember that in a war most people will not have much money – if any at all. Those who do profit from war are usually those who are willing to use exploit others. Keep this in mind when deciding on your character's monetary situation.)
Current Occupation: Made his way as a carpenter, landscape gardener in the muggle world.
Other Occupations (side incomes, volunteer work, illegal activities): none. Honest.
Monetary Situation: Has Muggle money. Uses his family money to help keep them well hidden. He has enough to get by for a few months, although if the war keeps putting up the price of things, he might not. He needs to get work.

Current situation

Affiliations & Organisations: DA. Not in the Order, but willing to work with them.
Faction this character supports: McGonagall's, even though he thinks that some Muggles should be kept from the wizarding war.
Role in the ongoing war: He doesn't want to fight, but will do anything to protect his family.

Finally

What is your character's deepest, darkest secret (one that other game characters probably wouldn't know and that he/she would prefer they didn't find out about) Also list the names of anyone who might know, or might be suspicious of this knowledge:

After finishing school, Justin returned to the Muggle world, and as he tried to do what he could to protect his family from anything to do with the war, he fell in love with Alison, a girl from his social circle. They were together a few months, and she fell pregnant. He had not told her about his being a wizard, and when they spoke of looking after the baby, he forced her to have an abortion. He realised afterwards just what a horrific mistake it had been, and they drifted apart. He regrets that decision almost every day. Nobody but Alison knows this, but she is long out of his life. He slept around a bit after that with random women, but even gave that up after a while, despising himself for that, and dropping into a depression that he's only now climbing out of. He's been hesitant to get into any relationship since then.
